Welcome back to week three of my four-week coverage on Benny's Home and Auto Stores!

Today's location is in Old Saybrook, CT on Boston Post Road, right near Kohl's and Big Y Supermarket and just off of Interstate 95.

This particular location closed in October 2017 alongside many other Benny's location.



This particular location was anchor to the Benny's Plaza Strip Mall on US Route 1, and sadly since Benny's was a middle unit, it was difficult to get any pictures of the inside. The windows of the store were covered pretty well. I do believe this was one of two Benny's locations that did not get sold off to a Rhode Island based redevelopment firm, as it's located within a strip mall center, and Benny's only leased the space.

The front of the store still possesses a distinct Benny's labelscar, with no real efforts made to cover it up.

This location had a strange layout, as it was the exit doors under the Benny's sign and the entrance doors were a bit off to the left.

Pardon the raindrops on my camera... I was out photographing in the middle of a nor'easter, so the weather wasn't exactly ideal

So that's about all of the documentation I could get as of present for the Old Saybrook Benny's. Sadly, due to the poor weather and rather good tape job on the windows, it was near impossible to get a good look inside. Perhaps I'll try to revisit in the future to see if I can get any better shots
